Lagoon Views · Gulf Shores

The trip your family will still be talking about at Thanksgiving.

Every couple gets a king bed, a door, and their own bathroom. The kids get bunks. Everyone gets the view across the marsh to the water. Spend the morning at the pool, the afternoon at the beach, and the evening on the porch. Then do it again tomorrow.

Little Lagoon · Gulf Shores

Get up before everyone else. Trust us.

The house sits up high, and that's the whole point. From the porch the view runs a long way: marsh grass, then open water, then nothing but sky. Pour a coffee and step outside. The lagoon is flat as glass, the marsh is still waking up, and somewhere in the grass a heron is standing perfectly still, waiting on breakfast. Ten quiet minutes like that will set the tone for the whole week.

Later, the kids go in the pool and stay there. The grown-ups take the hot tub. Somebody wanders down to the pier with a fishing pole and swears they'll be back in twenty minutes. When you want the Gulf, load up the wagon and walk ten minutes to the 12th and 13th Street beach accesses, two of the best in town. Most days, you won't need it.
